Senses

Edit Page Content

When a player character makes a skill roll in an environment that limits one or more of their senses, the skill roll’s complexity is increased by 1 if the roll relies on a limited sense. For instance, a player character attempting to overhear a conversation on a loud factory floor with a Perception skill roll has the complexity of that roll increased by 1.

If a player character attempts a skill roll to attack or influence another creature who has one or more limited senses, the skill roll’s complexity is decreased by 1 (to a minimum of 2) if it would be affected by a limited sense. For instance, while in total darkness a player character who can see in the dark uses the Melee skill to attack an enemy who cannot see in the dark, the player character’s skill roll has its complexity decreased by 1.
