You plan and attempt to steal something or break a captive free. You could steal anything valuable like money, information, or plasma. You might work alone and against the law, or a government, business, or organization might sanction your job. How you go about the heist is up to you. This Story Path is for a person who wants to plan and execute a mission with high stakes.

1st Event: Find a Score

Completion: You complete this event when you find something you want to steal or a captive you want to break out. You could come to this decision on your own, or you could accept a job that someone else asks you to take.

Reward: Increase the die size of your Computers, Decorum, Perception, Skullduggery, Stealth, or Streetwise skill by 1.

2nd Event: Legwork

Completion: You complete this event when you perform a task that will help you perform the heist itself. You could interrogate someone for information, steal a key, plant a bomb for later use, or perform a similar task that aids you down the line.

Reward: Increase the die size of your Computers, Deception, Presence, Skullduggery, Stealth, or Suavity skill by 1.

3rd Event: Hatch a Plot

Completion: You complete this event after you create a plan for your heist. Your plan need not be in-depth (though it can be), but you should have an idea of how you might get what you want then get away. The best plans have contingencies.

Reward: Increase the die size of one of your Mental skills by 1.

4th Event: Pull the Heist

Completion: Did you get away with your target? If not, did you manage to get away or were you caught? What people are out to get you after this? You complete this event after you attempt to pull your heist.

Reward if you pull it off: Select one special ability from your species.

Reward if you fail: Gain the Relatable Criminal special ability. When you make a Social skill roll to influence a criminal, decrease the complexity of the skill roll by 1 (to a minimum of 2). If you complete this Story Path a second or greater time and fail to pull off the heist again, select one special ability from your species.

5th Event: Heist Aftermath

Completion: Do you lay low in a hideout for a while? Do you run from or face someone chasing after you? Do you sell your stolen goods? Do you do time in prison? You complete this event when you deal with this fallout and reflect on your experiences.

Reward: Select one special ability from your species.
