Things are not great for you right now. Perhaps from your own actions or perhaps from happenstance you find yourself being sought by a person or force to be reckoned with. They are too strong to fight head on, so it’s time to run to live to fight another day. This path is for players who want to use their cunning to avoid confrontation.

1st Event: The Inciting Event

Completion: Someone is unhappy with you: unhappy enough to want you dead or taken prisoner. You may have done something to cross them or were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Either way they are now after you. You complete this event once a person or force to be reckoned with is chasing you.

Reward: Select one special ability from your Species.

2nd Event: Change Your Appearance

Completion: They know who you are, and they know how to find you. The net of their search is drawing in, and you need to find a way to slip through their grasp. To complete this event you must change something about yourself or your ship to make it harder for them to find you.

Reward: Increase the die size of your Skullduggery, Deception, or Streetwise skill by 1.

3rd Event: More than One Way

Completion: You have given them the slip, but they have resorted to dirty tactics to find your location. They have gone after someone you know in the universe. This person might have details about your ship, know one of your allies, or is a family member. They are holding something or someone you hold dear hostage and you must make a choice: go back and try to save them or keep running and leave them to their fate. You complete this event after you have made your choice.

Reward if you go back to save them: Increase the die size of one of your Social Skills by 1.

Reward if you don’t go back: Increase the die size of one of your Mental Skills by 1.

4th Event: Fight for Your Life

Completion: Despite all your best efforts they have found you, and they are coming with the full might of their power. It’s time for you to do what you do best and escape. You complete this event after you have evaded, fought off, or escaped their assault on you.

Reward: Increase the die size of one of your Physical Skills by 1.

5th Event: Final Decision

Completion: You have gotten away from their immediate grasp; things are finally in the clear for you... for now. However you have one last decision to make. Do you keep away from your enemy and stay in hiding for the indefinite future, or do are you determined to fight back and bring them down? You complete this event when you decide to stay hidden or fight.

Reward: Select one Nova ability from your Species.
