Key NPCs: Facet (nonbinary warforged administrator), Constable (male warforged sheriff)

The town hall is the civil center of Quickstone. It contains the office of the warforged Facet, known as the Magistrate, who administers Quickstone on behalf of Count ir’Blis, as well as the office of Sheriff Constable and two large jail cells. The largest room is the council hall, used for town council meetings, public audiences where people can present grievances to Facet, and as a courtroom should any cases need to be tried. Facet maintains an archive of records relating to the town and the surrounding region, including census data and maps.

Possible ties to the Town Hall:

  • (Criminal) You’ve spent a fair amount of time in one of Constable’s cells, and surprisingly, the two of you found something to bond over. What interest do you share with the sheriff?
  • (Noble) Facet has great respect for the nobility, regardless of the nation you’re from; they’re just delighted to have “civilized company.” They regularly invite you to join them for tal and biscuits, even though they don’t actually eat or drink.
  • (Warforged) You were forged in the same facility as either Facet or Constable. If you’re Brelish, you may have served in the war with Constable; otherwise, you may have known each other only briefly before you were shipped off to your final destination.
  • You’ve been deputized by Sheriff Constable in the past, and he may call on you again if there’s a threat that needs to be dealt with.
