Hunt
You seek to capture or kill a specific creature. This is more than a routine job or leisure activity. The Hunt Story Path represents a significant challenge in your life and is for people who want to roleplay characters determined to find their prey.
1st Event: Target Acquired
Completion: You complete this event when you know what or who you hunt. You might hunt to collect a bounty, stop a monster or criminal’s Rampage, for the thrill of it, or any other reason that speaks to you. You should know at least a bit about the target you’re chasing down by the end of this event.
Reward: Increase the die size of your Computers, Deception, Decorum, Perception, Streetwise, or Suavity skill by 1.
2nd Event: Getting to Know You
Completion: You complete this event when you learn more about a weakness your target has that you can exploit. You might acquire this information through research, by stealing it, by paying for it, or from another person.
Reward: Increase the die size of your Deception, Knowledge, Presence, Skullduggery, Stealth, or Suavity skill by 1.
3rd Event: Where It Goes Down
Completion: You uncover the place where your target lives, a path they routinely Travel, or somewhere that your acquisition of them could occur. You complete this event when you have at least a general area of where you’ll try to capture or kill your target.
Reward: Increase the dies size of one of your Physical Skills by 1.
4th Event: Set the Trap
Completion: You complete this event when you make a plan to capture or kill your target. Your plan need not be in-depth (though it can be), but you should at least have an idea of how you might accomplish your hunt and what role each person involved will play.
Reward: Select one special ability from your Species.
5th Event: The Hunt is On
Completion: Did you get your quarry, or did they get away? You complete this event after you attempt to capture or kill your prey.
Reward if you captured or killed your prey: Gain the Get the Drop special ability. At the start of a Combat encounter you can move or take one action before the enemies declare their actions. Any skill roll you make as part of the action has a complexity of 2. If you take this Story Path a second or greater time and capture or kill your prey again, select one special ability from your Species.
Reward if your prey got away: Select one special ability from your Species.
