Equipment

Edit Page Content

An invisible force field deflects a laser blast, protecting the kith’uk within. Anticipating a Battle with boarding pirates, a glean fires up her bright blue Laser Sword. A Driftling opens up a Med Kit, slapping a Quickbandage on his open wound.

No adventurer can Survive Olaxis for long without the proper Equipment. This section provides a description of the armor, Weapons, and Adventuring Gear available for sale around the galaxy.

Finding Equipment

Specific Equipment in some regions of Olaxis may not be readily available for sale due to legal or supply restrictions. A character still might be able to buy an item in a restricted system only from a special or Black Market dealer, but that seller may not be easy to find, and that seller sets the price of the item. Such a deal could involve a trade beyond the exchange of money, such as for other pieces of Equipment or the services of the adventurers. The GM decides when and how Equipment is available.

Selling Equipment

You can sell your used Equipment for 10 percent of what it costs at the GM’s discretion.

Species Equipment

Since Olaxis is such a diverse place, most Equipment is customizable to fit different members of different Species. For instance, most armor suits come with attachments to accommodate numerous limbs, tails, and body types. The Overguilds artisans and vendors that sell this gear know the most profitable solution is to outfit everyone.

It is up to each player to decide how their Equipment looks and the story of why it works for their given Species. For instance, you might decide that your Ror-nan colony turns itself into a humanoid shape to use an armor suits and Weapons, or you might decide the arms and armor they bought comes in shapes specially designed to fit your favorite colony form. You can say the ranged Weapons you buy for your Peacecraft are the Weapons their hands turn into or mounted on their shoulders. Do whatever makes the most sense and tells a story that is interesting to you.
